Inauguration of Golden Jubilee fund- P S Hospital, Maradu.

Maradu - The inauguration of Golden Jubilee Development fund of P S Mission Hospital Maradu held here on last day.  The multi speciality hospital established in Maradu    is celebrating its 50th year of existence with various  health and spiritual programmes.  Pronvincial Rev Sr Clodit received the first donation. Rev Fr Paul thundiyil, Mrs Usha, Dr Kunjumon, Sibi Master, Edwin Earayil, Dr Sr Annie Sheela and Dr Sr Jaya spoke. 

PAINTING COMPETITION FOR CHILDREN HELD AS PART OF P.S.MISSION JUBILEE

Maradu:
As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Maradu P S Mission Hospital, painting and drawing competitions were held for kids. Around 100 of kids participated in the event held at the campus of P.S.Mission Nursing School, at NH 49, Maradu.
Forane Vicar Very Rev Fr Paul Thundiyil Inaugurated the event. Dr. Kunjumon, Siby Master, Edwin Earayil, Sr. Sislet, Sr.Norberta, Sr Dr. Jaya, Adv Sherry J Thomas spoke.

The culmination programmes of the Jubilee Event will be held on February 2012. 

80th DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF VAKAYILACHAN - works started

The 80 the death anniversary of Saintly Priest Rev Fr George Vakayil will be observed o 3rd and 4th of this November. A committee comprising of more than 100 persons were formed in a public meeting held in St Mary Magdelene Church, Moothedom, last week. Various conveners were selected to take care of the various events to be held in connection with the commemoration of death anniversary.
Scholarship distribution for meritorious students will also take place on that day.

P S MISSION HOSPITAL TO CELEBRATE GOLDEN JUBILEE

Maradu: P.S. Mission Hospital, Maradu established by Late Msgr Alexander Vadakkumthala, later entrusted with CTC Sisters is celebrating its Golden jubilee in this year. A special meeting convened in the P.S. Convent, Chaired by Rev Sr.Claudit formed the Celebration Committee for the event. The celebration will include several socio-medical projects which helps a lot of poor and needy patients. Various luminaries in and around Maradu participated in the meeting.

A new blog has been started in the name of Rev Fr George Vakayil (vakayilachan), the blessed priest who served in Maradu Moothedom parish 1922.
The reminiscence of vakayilachan is still present in the Maradu area through his powerful intercession for the needy ones in their spiritual and material needs.
A large number of devotees used to visit the tomb of vakayilachan on every day, especially on fridays, where special mass and prayer is scheduled.
Vakayilachan served in St Mary Magdelene Church, Moothedom, under the Archdiocese of Verapoly as the 13th vicar of the parish.
