Demand for lights in Maradu NH bye pass.
Maradu: Even though the toll collection are full swing for the NH bye pass Vytilla - Aroor stretch, no steps for repairing the street lights are been taken by the authorities. Previously for some area from Vytilla to Thykkudam street lights were maintained by the Cochin Corporation; but this also not working.
The Thevara- Kundannur bridge is also lacking proper lighting; thanks to the toll collection here also since the opening of the bridge. Complaints were raised from various quarters that, the authorities are not interested in taking up these kind of matters.

Fr Anthony Elenjimittam commemorated.
Maradu: Legendary Priest Fr Anthony Elenjimittam commemorated at his native place, Maradu. Fr Anthony was a an advocate of Cosmic Ecumenism. After embracing priesthood, Fr Anthony extended his activism to European countries. He started orphanages, destitute homes and educational scholarship for students and children. Minister K C Joseph inaugurated the Event. Adv Devarajan, Municipal Chairman of Maradu presided over. K M Roy, Dominic Presentation, Adv V A Jerom, Jayan Master, Sr Kevin, T P Antony, K A Devassy, Br Joseph Spoke. A E Charities Chairman Siby Xavier extended welcome and Cleetus Kakkanad said vote of thanks.
Medical camp conducted at Maradu, Kundannur.
Maradu: Free Medical camp conducted at Kundannur A E Charities Hall in connection with the Golden Jubilee celebrations of PSMH Hospital Maradu. About 100 of patients attended. Maradu Co-operative Society president Jayan Master inaugurated the event. The event was conducted in association with Kundannur Cultural and Welfare Association.
