Even though several new bus routes were announced as part of Jnrum bus and Thirukochi bus, no buses were allotted to the Maradu. Protesting against this discrimination and for taking care of the need of passengers at large, a new organisation for passengers in Maradu, MARADU PASSENGERS ASSOCIATION is formed.
